Outright gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, mutual fund shares) are tax deductible at full market value if the donor has owned the asset for at least twelve months. Why Your Gift is Important:

Far too many women in our country face significant barriers to accessing reproductive health services.  Just a few barriers include:

• the rising costs of care and lack of affordable health insurance
• concerns about confidentiality
• limited English proficiency, low literacy levels
• inadequate transportation and childcare
• controlling/abusive partners who object to women receiving women's health services or using birth control

As we work to address the gaps in equity and access, the clinic itself sometimes struggles to meet the challenges of subsiding services.  In these trying economic times, it is difficult for abortion funds to meet the demands of more and more women without adequate resources or insurance.  This is especially true for CFHC, as we work to maintain both a funding source and our not-for-profit health care programs and clinic.

Over the past 35-years, CFHC has loaned and subsidized hundreds of thousands of dollars in care to socially and economically disadvantaged women. Just a few examples are women in prison, newly resettled refugees from war-torn countries, battered women and victims of sexual assault, women in treatment for addictions, and young girls in foster care and group homes.

This work to assist women in times of great need is only made possible because of the vision, dedication and generosity of our supporters.
